| The ever-growing Ford Motor Company recall list:
For further details, consumers may contact Ford at 800-392-3673 May 2008: Ford recalling more than 655,000 Ford F-150 and Lincoln Mark LT pickup trucks to fix a hose that could affect vehicles' braking power: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24619177 2005: Ford Motor Co. 3.8 million pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles for a cruise control switch suspected of causing engine fires. It is the fifth largest auto industry recall in U.S. history. The affected vehicles include: 1994-2002 model F-150s NHTSA to probe millions of Ford pickups, SUVs - Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, and some civilian Crown Victorias, 1996 - Light Steering", or sudden temporary loss of steering control when going into sharp, long, or winding curves. Ford is not addressing this as a recall. Fix: Replace the "Control Assembly" in the power steering, part# F5AZ-3F712-A Contact your local dealer for more information and assistance. - Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, and some civilian Crown Victorias, 1996 - Present - Gas tanks tend to EXPLODE when rear-ended at high-speeds. A plastic cover for the rear axle has been designed, and is available from Ford. Several Police officers, cab drivers, and civilians have reportedly died or been severely burned in rear-end accidents in Crown Vics. Ford is not addressing this as a recall. - Focus, 1999-present - Recalled nine times since it's introduction in 1999.
